MIKE PATTON and URI CAINE 'Forgotten Songs' May 2018

Mike Patton and Uri Caine performed Forgotten Songs at Teatro comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Bologna, Italy on May 25th and May 26th.

"I certainly know Celentano...and I know a lot of Italian music, but I have never played it before and to say that you know a song you have to play it, you have to learn it, you have to play it to internalize it. There is a lot of Italian music, and many film soundtrack composers for Italian films, like Nino Rota, from whom I learned that music, that kind of music to play it and make it mine ". - Uri Caine

The concerts were a triumph, giving Patton a brief moment of reflection before he begins a European tour with the musical opposite of Dead Cross
The program included, Mr. Bungle's Retrovertigo [performed by Patton for the first time in almost 18 years], Chilean musical legend Violeta Parra's Que He Sacado With Quererte, a new composition from the upcoming [as yet unscheduled] collaboration between Patton and Jean-Claude Vannier titled Chansons D'amour

- Shiva Produzioni
