WHAT A DAY - IMPERIAL TEEN 'FEEL THE SOUND'

For those who haven't yet discovered Roddy Bottum's 'other' band IMPERIAL TEEN, don't expect to hear Faith No More. In a similar way that Mike Patton's other bands are radically removed from his work with FNM so is Imperial Teen.

WHAT A DAY - EPIC 25

"Mean, Vicious, chunky and Funky, Faith No More continue to break barriers with their brain-scrambling amalgamation of seemingly counteracting styles. Rap with Metal? No problem mate. Funk with  Hardcore overtones? Faith No More have it in hand. Hell, there's even a classical piano break at the end! FNM are the band to take Hard Rock into the '90s." - RIP Magazine 1990

WHAT A DAY - FANTOMAS DELIRIUM CORDIA

Today is of course the birthday of a true genius, Happy Birthday Mike Patton born 27th January 1968.

We considered how to celebrate this prestigious event here on FNMFollowers, a biography of the master, a selection of photos or maybe a mere dedication?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE PATTON

A very happy birthday to Michael Allan Patton, born 27th January 1968.

'Patton is notorious for his wide range of vocal styles, and it is rumoured that he can emulate the sound of the Earth revolving on its axis with nothing but a hoarse whisper.' - Uncyclopedia (chuckles)

Faith No More have officially announced two new dates to the European leg of their 2015 tour.

WHAT A DAY - FAITH NO MORE'S FIRST UK SHOW

On January 22nd 1988 Faith No More hit the United Kingdom live scene for the first time. The venue was Dingwalls in Camden, London. It was in fact the first time FNM played outside of the United States.
The show was the first date of a European tour that ended in July that year, Chuck Mosley's last tour with the band as he and the band parted ways shorty after the tour ended.
We have managed to secure a review of this show published in Sounds Magazine, January 30th 1988 written by Mr Spencer.

WE CARE A LOT - 27

According to 'Q magazine' when writing a rock song that will survive the test of time you need a few key elements: a simple yet powerful chorus, a message the audience can relate to, and a hook you can repeat over and over again.......Although I'm sure Faith No More hadn't read that article when they wrote We Care A Lot but it is living proof of the theory!

WHAT A YEAR....

If you can look it in the face and hold your vomit!

2014 was a year some importance for Faith No More with the astonishing annoucemnet of a new album release in 2015 with supporting tour and of course the release of their first new music in 17 years 'Motherfucker'.
